today + newspaper article

08.29.2011

no photos for today, I’m sorry. I think this stress was getting to my head, I didn’t even take out my camera today- scary right? You would think I’d at least snap a few shots on my cell phone but no. very bizarre.
so we looked at my previous grades, talked about college and I think a mass of pressure has been removed from my shoulders. I think I may go to a JC first… even though I could make it into a four (well, realistically five) year school. It’d save money, plus take all of this ‘decide what you want to do now’ stress off of me. (it’s slowly peeling away) So, erm. Agility practice tomorrow, I’m pretty excited. My birthday is in a week and three days..

*will be open to the public October 1st, 2011
*is anyone a beta member at fhs other than me?
From the beginning, Harry Potter was no average boy. From the instant Rubius Hagrid, (Keeper of the Keys, at Hogwarts- the finest wizarding school) entered his life, and pulling him into the magical realm. The entire world was captivated while reading the adventures of Harry and his friends, Ron Weasley andHermione Granger at school. In 2001, the first Harry Potter film was released with Daniel Radcliffe playing Harry, Rupert Grint as Ron and Emma Watson as Hermione, the three began their epic journey fighting Voldemort (he-who-shall-not-be-named) where the films closely followed the story line of the novels. Midnight July 21, 2007, the final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was released. JK (Jo) Rowling announced that would be her final book in the Harry Potter Series. Four years later, the Deathly Hallows was released to the screen, in two parts. Through tears, and much antisipation the final part of the Deathly Hallows was released July 15, 2011 where viewers were able to witness the epic finale they read about in the books.
Although Rowling says there will not be any more Potter books, the legacy of the series can be continued by you. On October 1st, Pottermore will be released to the public. Pottermore is best described in two parts. One is where you get to become a student at Hogwarts, competing for the house cup, creating potions and dueling other students. You will be sorted into one of the four houses by none other than the sorting hat (well, a really fool-proof quiz), purchasing your school books (no worries, Rowling left you 500 galleons at Gringotts) and letting your wand choose you at Ollivanders. You are also allowed to bring an Owl, Cat, Rat or Toad. Once you have been sorted into your house, you can complete the journey with Harry Potter through the books, or you can start competing for your house cup, with fellow “students.”
So the journey is not over yet, it has only just begun… go Ravenclaw!!
(alas, earwax- erm, should I mention the wizarding world in FL?… is that relevant?)
YAY. possible article.. Just needs quotes.
